Headline Details: Astrocast-0.2 precursor is an In-Orbit-Demonstration mission and is planned to be launched in Q2 2018. Radio Amateur mission is implemented on three frequencies bands (details in document 73-Astrocast-HSLU-ICDHAMFCTS-1-0-Astrocast attached): UHF: 435 - 438 MHz (ham functions only) VHF: 144 -146 MHz (ham functions only) S-Band: 2400 - 2450 MHz Packet Data Relay (Packet repeater) packet data are relayed back in a "bent-pipe" fashion. There is no store and-forward message switching. The content of the immediately relayed packet can be digital voice for instance. PRBS-Ranging measures the receiving time of a regular (once a second TBC) Pseudo Random Binary Sequence (PRBS) transmitted. Multiple RX stations deliver their measurements into a central database. From the RX location and measured distance to the satellite TLEs can be calculated. Beacon with Telemetry data (satellite housekeeping, satellite GNSS data and pre-defined and scheduled) Picture Download. From the two cameras (one point the Earth and one the Sun) images can be downloaded. Listener Mode, mode to record and transmit down RF received parameters and signal (if possible) to evaluate channels noise. Only one satellite will be active at a time. Two satellites are prepared to ensure, that if one launch fails at least one satellite goes into operation. Science/educational mission Experimental Global Navigation Satellite System (Multi receiver GPS, Galileo, Glonass, ) For: o Precise orbit determination (POD) for a CubeSat based on single-frequency GNSS in real-time as well as post-processing mode o Comparison and combination of GNSS with receivers tracking GPS, GLONASS, QZSS, BeiDou, and Galileo in space. First receiver in space tracking 5 different GNSS o Experimental measurements for tracking navigation satellites below the local horizon for radio occultation; air density estimation during the re-entry phase o Give to students, and master/PhD thesis students the possibility to get know how of space-borne GNSS data processing on-the field and to make research using in-flight data and experiments o Amateur Satellite Frequency Coordination Request Page Rev. 42. 19 January 2018 5 UHF/VHF com board is designed by students and young engineers at university of applied sciences in Lucerne S-band is designed at university of applied sciences in Sion and Yverdon Ground station is in part designed and operated by students and young engineers at university of applied sciences in Lucerne and supervised by the local group of amateur radio (HB9HSLU) Other Mission: L-band: 1525 - 1559 MHz and 1626.5 1660.5 MHz Astrocast part of the mission. Command and control for the machine-to-machine (M2M) experiments (Astrocast). Planning a PSLV launch into a 500 km polar orbit. **Downlinks on 437.175 MHz and 2406.000 MHz have been coordinated**
Application Date: 19 Jan 2018   Freq coordination completed on 25 Jan 2018
