Headline Details: The Ionospheric-Thermospheric Scanning Photometer for Ion-Neutral Studies (IT-SPINS) mission proposes to provide the first two-dimensional (2D) tomographic imaging from a 3U research CubeSat, addressing the basic nature of the nocturnal ionosphere. This 6-month mission aims to strengthen our fundamental understanding for development of ion gradient structures in the topside of the Earth’s ionosphere and secondarily within regional phenomena such as equatorial plasma bubbles (EPBs) or polar patches. Proposing a UHF 19k2 GMSK AX25 downlink. Planning an October 2017 launch from Vandenberg into a 450km polar orbit with Primary: ICESAT-2 and Secondary: ELFIN - UCLA and CHEFsat - NRL **A downlink on 437.405 MHz has been coordinated**
Application Date: 01 Aug 2017   Freq coordination completed on 11 Aug 2016
